Battery power for your viewing pleasure
Ben Hackney-Williams, 1st March 2018, Caravan
One manufacturer has stepped up for caravanners by releasing a battery-operated option that will solve any travel telly issue.
The British-based tech experts at Cello have launched what could be the greatest thing for off-grid caravanning since solar power - a battery-operated LED TV.
OK, so we know that going off-grid should be to do just that, and that almost every caravan on-site these days has a fitted battery for any electronics you would want to use anyway, but think of the versatility!
The go-anywhere telly
You don't even have to watch it in your caravan. Find a cosy spot in the sun and you'll no longer miss your favourite shows while away. The nature of portability means that you'll be hosting parties aplenty over the latest reality talent show finals, or you could even hook up a Blu-ray player to start your very own caravan cinema.
With 10-hours of playback from one charge (or just have it plugged in as normal), imagine watching the football around the BBQ, not limited by leads. What's more, you'll also get two LED lights that are powered by the telly for those dark nights.
The TV itself comes in either 22in (£249.99) or 32in (£329.99), full of HD widescreen LED goodness. It has a built-in satellite tuner, smart aerial, Freeview along with USB and HDMI functionality.
Everything you need
In the spirit of true caravan practicality, each TV comes with a screwdriver and a car charging adaptor - everything you need so that you don't get stuck staring at a black screen instead of the crisp picture of your chosen programme.
Cello Electronics' CEO, Brian Palmer, commented: "The battery TV range was built with portability front of mind to make sure those on the move never had to compromise on the quality of their viewing experience. The compact size options and affordable price tag further boost our extensive range, giving valued customers even more choice to find the set that is right for their specific needs."
If you want to stay even more environmental than rechargeable batteries, Cello also launched the first ever solar powered TV in 2016, for a truly green scheme visual experience.
