It may seem like Summer 2018 is a long way off, but if you're anything like me you will already be counting down the days to your next caravan adventure.

So why not use your spare time this Winter, prepping and planning for some caravan improvements? That way, when you do go out for your first trip of 2018, you will be going out in style!

P.S It's 112 days and counting until we will be going away on our first caravan adventure of 2018. Eeek can't wait!!

Sprucing up the exterior!

Now I am aware that this seems to be the marmite of the caravan world. But if it is your cup of tea you could always consider painting the exterior of your caravan. It works wonders for older caravan models that are looking a little worse for wear, and perhaps need some extra TLC.

Decorating

One of the easier DIY's you could consider, is redecorating your caravan. It makes a huge difference, and doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg.

If you are considering some decor renovations, I would suggest you take a look at The Twinkle Diaries. She has some fantastic suggestions, and tutorials on how to renovate your caravan.

Work tops

How about given your work tops a little more life by using some self adhesive film from your local DIY store? The picture above is from Tasha Hargreave, a Caravanner from Bolton who recently performed a series her DIYs to her Coachman Pastiche. Well done Tasha it looks fab!

Creating space

One of the most satisfying DIY jobs in my opinion, is having a thorough clear out of junk you do not use. From a caravan perspective, removing junk also results in removing unnecessary weight - hoorah. So, take a look around your caravan and really consider what it is you use. Perhaps you don't really use the table in your caravan, could you get rid of this and add in additional worktop space? Maybe you want to get rid of two single beds, and get a double with ottoman style storage?

Rethinking your caravan's layout can seem like a lot of work, but trust me when I say it really can make the world of difference to your caravanning experience!

Bird houses

Decorate your pitch

Invest in some decorative items to hang outside your caravan. Whether you pick up some fairy lights, bunting or even bird houses as shown in the photo above. Decorating your pitch wherever you go, can really add a touch of fun to your caravan adventures.
