Keeping your car clean and scratch free

If your four-legged friend travels in the boot of your car, you will know the amount of mud and fur that gets left behind. And, if your dog is anything like mine, they will get very excited when they know they have arrived at the site and scrabble to get out. So to keep your tow spotless, and protected from scratches it is worth investing in a boot mat.

We've found these from a company called Hatchbag. Whilst they do fall under the luxury category, they are fantastic. You can specify exactly what it is you need from your bootliner, choose the colour, add seat splits, odour mats, rubber mats or even a bumper flap. Better yet, they are made to fit the make and model of your car exactly, so you know they will fit like a glove.

Keeping your pooch clean

You might be going on long costal walks, or adventuring to the closest pub in your wellies during a rain shower. Whatever it is you'll be getting up to, it's likely your dog will need a good shower down to keep them, and your caravan, squeaky clean.

We've found that not all sites have a dedicated area for washing down your dog. Therefore, a portable shower is ideal. This product is great, as all you need is a bucket of warm water and your set! Better yet, it's not going to break the bank at only £29.99*

Simple safety tip

When you arrive at the site, an easy precaution to take is to attach a key fob to your dogs collar that has the Caravan Site’s name written on it. That way, if you ever find yourself in the unfortunate position of your dog having gone for a walk about, you know that whoever finds them first will know where to return them.

Loading and unloading

For older dogs it can be a real strain getting them in and out of the boot. This handy loading ramp is perfect, as you can fold it up and it is extremely light weight to carry. That way they can get in and out at ease.
