What is a Caravan rally?

A rally is where a group of caravan owners gather together to meet at the same site. Families, couples, young, old, even pets - it truly is an event for everyone, and it's the perfect time to make new caravan friends.

What happens at a rally?

Each rally varies, but there is always lots going on. During the day, there are normally optional activities taking place such as, planned walks, fishing, day trips etc. But there is no obligation to get involved if you do not want to. There is often a main event planned for some point in the rally, and again you can choose whether or not you want to attend. Overall, you can decide what you want to do and what would suit you best.

How many people will be there?

This varies from rally to rally. You may attend a rally with only 10 caravans, and the following weekend you may attend one with 50+ caravans. It just depends on the event, and how well advertised it is.

Do you have to pay to attend?

Yes. You pay for your pitch per night, and this will be dependent on the venue. You often have to pay a small rally fee and administration fee.

Still unsure whether you want to go?

Why not try talking to fellow caravan owners on an online forum? If you have a Facebook account you can join a popular group called Caravanners UK which, at the time of writing this, has 29,548 members. You can get answers to any caravan questions within a matter of minutes. So, if you want to know what certain rallies are like, you can always post your questions and let other members share their advice.

We hope this has helped answer some of your questions, and happy rallying to all of you!
