Nasty surprises when you get back home?

Everyone knows how hard it is to find a plumber even when it’s not an emergency - it’s even harder getting them out at short notice, after hours.

It's the same with electricians or locksmiths - things always seem to go wrong at the most inconvenient times - evenings and weekends, usually in the winter.

But that’s not a problem when something goes wrong with your car - you just call the RAC, AA or other emergency service.

You might have to wait a while for them to reach you, but you know they’ll be there and will fix the problem if at all possible.

What do you get?

Plumbers and heating engineers will deal with boiler or central heating problems and leaks or other pipework problems. They’ll fix the problem or make a temporary repair before returning to complete the job.

An electrician will fix any problems with lights or power sockets, similarly fixing it straight away or making the situation safe before coming back with the parts to finish off.

Locksmiths will attend if you’re suffered a break-in or lost your keys. They’ll get you in and make broken doors and windows safe and secure.

This is usually provided alongside home insurance so if you only have boat insurance with us you are unlikely to have it - but check with your provider to find out.
