Christmas presents for cats and dogs - and their owners!
Chris Hogan, 10th October 2014, Pet
Maybe it's a little early to think about buying Christmas presents, but on the other hand, you'll almost certainly know of someone who's bought and wrapped their presents already, won't you?
So avoid the crush and take a look at some of the gift ideas we've come up with for cat and dog lovers. Or, if you are the one who loves your pets, leave a few hints around the place for your favourite presents on this list.
We've found items both for pets themselves and for pet owners, so hopefully this will inspire ideas for Christmas.
Cat toys
We've not seen this one before - the Catit Senses Play Circuit. It sends an illuminated ball around a tunnelled circuit and looks like great fun!

Cats love cardboard boxes but they don't have the right image for a Christmas present. Here's one that does: the Catillac! It's a box in the shape of a pink Cadillac which comes flat-packed.

Dog toys
Kongs are great for keeping dogs' attention and now there's the Bionic Ball which combines the 'hidden snack' challenge with two throwing styles - normal and unpredictable bouncing. It's claimed to be virtually indestructible and can even be cleaned in the dishwasher!

Taking the 'hidden snack' challenge a little further is the Dogit Mind Games set. There are three games in one package which can be used with or without snack in the pieces.

Jewellery with a pet flavour
Some cat and dog jewellery can be really awful, but the quality and style is generally high on Etsy, a website where craftspeople post their own items. People who buy items can post reviews so that you can be reassured.
Because they are sold direct you can find out about the person who made them as well.

The main page for pet jewellery is here, but it's a good idea to make sure the 'Delivers to' box is set to UK and perhaps the 'Items from' box as well.
